New Quilters

November 2008

I am very excited that our church has started a Quilt Ministry. We have been given a nice big room in our education building and we are fixing it up with a design wall and tables for cutting and sewing.

Some of our members were already quilters but as the word is getting around about how much fun quilting can be more people are coming to quilt with us. We are all excited to learn how we can share the love of God and thank Him for what He has done for us by providing warm and cozy quilts for those in need.

Kathy was already a seamstress and now she is learning to quilt. Here she just finished making her first quilt block!

Ann had never even touched a sewing machine. Her first time quilting with us she learned to rotary cut and sewed her first block using my Featherweight sewing machine. She was so delighted and she is definitely coming back to quilt again!

We were so happy to have these two new quilters with us and it is really fun to see the smiles on their faces.
